Our Strength

Our organization has managed to grow because of the following:

Survivor-led experiences: We are a survivor led organization whose founder(s) have lived experience of traditional forced marriage, stigma and social discrimination so we are able to drive the efforts for providing support services, raise awareness, advocate for policy changes related to the issues and  guidance to others facing or at risk of similar situations by sharing lived experiences and expertise from a firsthand perspective leading to swift, sustainable change and exposure to growth opportunities for our organization.

Volunteer Engagement: We work with inspired and dedicated volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and passion to support various initiatives aimed at prevention, victim support, awareness-raising, and advocacy that also enhance our organization’s capacity to address modern slavery and associated risks.

Policies & procedures: This is our framework that not only criminalizes modern slavery but also establishes measures to prevent exploitation, protect victims, and promote a culture of respect for human rights whose interplay is essential for a holistic and effective response to modern slavery.

Legal Registration & compliance: We are a legally registered organization that is compliant with laws, regulations, guidelines, standards and a structured framework to prevent, detect, and address instances of exploitation, thereby contributing to a more ethical and responsible anti-modern slavery environment.

Staff training, appraisals & refresher programs: Regular staff updates appraisals and ongoing education motivates our team to adapt to evolving risks and challenges related to exploitation which gives us a well-informed, vigilant, and committed workforce. It reinforces our values, ensures compliance with legal obligations, and contributes to a corporate culture that actively opposes modern slavery in all its forms.

Memberships & partnerships: We collaborate with other organizations and partners especially those with shared vision or those willing to support our mission through membership and partnerships thereby amplifying our collective impact, strengthen our collective influence through a more coordinated and effective response to modern slavery.

Community engagement: We actively involve and empower communities to prevent, identify, and address instances of exploitation thereby creating a bottom-up approach to combating modern slavery, emphasizing the importance of local knowledge, collaboration, and empowerment. It strengthens the resilience of communities and contributes to a more sustainable and inclusive response to the multifaceted challenges of exploitation during our activism at every stage.
